Program overview

The Spiritual Mentor Program prepares mature believers to mentor others responsibly. Alongside biblical foundations, it teaches compassionate listening, encouragement, prayer, confidentiality, ethics, safeguarding, referral, and the clear limits of the mentoring role. Practical exercises and case-study discussions are included throughout.

Expectations

Boundaries, accountability, and safeguarding

  • Coaching is encouragement, education, and accountability — not therapy or crisis care
  • Sessions begin and end on time and stay on the agreed topic
  • Confidentiality is honored within legal and safety limits
  • Communication happens through approved Faithful Path channels only
  • Participants may pause or decline any activity at any time
  • Mentors do not diagnose, treat, or provide counseling
  • Mentors refer to qualified licensed professionals and emergency services when appropriate

This program is for adults 18 and older. No guardian consent is required.
