Program overview

First Steps is where most participants begin. It lays the groundwork for everything else Faithful Path offers: a safe place to be honest, a biblical understanding of who you are, and practical tools for boundaries, accountability, and daily faith. Each week builds gently on the one before, so no prior Bible knowledge or ministry experience is needed.

Weekly curriculum outline

Every week follows the full Faithful Path weekly lesson format, from opening prayer through Growth Practice, progress check, and closing prayer.

  1. Week 1

    Welcome to Faithful Path

    The journey ahead, emotional and spiritual safety, personal goals, respect and confidentiality, boundaries, accountability, beginning with prayer, and understanding Growth Practices.

  2. Week 2

    Identity in Christ

    Psalm 139:14 — God-created identity, personal value, replacing harmful labels, being loved, chosen and remembered, recognizing strengths, and healthy self-respect.

  3. Week 3

    Healing from Emotional Hurt

    Psalm 147:3 — acknowledging hurt, bringing pain to God, healing as a process, safe support, forgiveness alongside boundaries, and moving forward without denial.

  4. Week 4

    Understanding Brokenness

    What brokenness means, brokenness without shame, God's presence in hard seasons, unhealthy patterns, asking for support, hope and restoration.

  5. Week 5

    Renewing the Mind

    Recognizing negative thoughts, comparing thoughts to biblical truth, building healthy thought patterns, speaking life, gratitude, and daily spiritual discipline.

  6. Week 6

    Strengthening Faith and Prayer

    What faith means, honest prayer, listening and stillness, building a prayer routine, trusting God through uncertainty, and prayer journaling.

  7. Week 7

    Healthy Boundaries

    What boundaries are and why they are loving, personal limits, saying no respectfully, safety, boundaries in family, friendship, ministry, work and online, recognizing controlling behavior, and seeking trusted support.

  8. Week 8

    Accountability and Responsibility

    Healthy accountability, accepting responsibility, following through, asking for help, making amends, accountability partners, and avoiding shame-based accountability.

  9. Week 9

    Discovering Purpose

    Gifts, strengths, interests, life experience, service, calling, purpose in different seasons, and creating a personal purpose statement.

  10. Week 10

    Moving Forward with God

    Reviewing growth, celebrating progress, continuing spiritual practices, maintaining boundaries and accountability, creating a Faithful Path action plan, next steps, completion reflection, and closing prayer.

Expectations

  • Attend or review all ten weekly lessons

  • Tell your coach when something is not working so it can be adjusted

Boundaries, accountability, and safeguarding

  • Coaching is encouragement, education, and accountability — not therapy or crisis care
  • Sessions begin and end on time and stay on the agreed topic
  • Confidentiality is honored within legal and safety limits
  • Communication happens through approved Faithful Path channels only
  • Participants may pause or decline any activity at any time

Parent or guardian requirements

This program is for adults 18 and older. No guardian consent is required.

Do I need to know the Bible well to start?
No. Every Scripture is introduced with plain-language background so you can follow along from week one.
What if I miss a week?
Lessons remain available in your portal and your coach will help you catch up without penalty.
Is this counseling?
No. Faithful Path provides Christian spiritual coaching, education, and encouragement. It is not therapy or licensed mental-health counseling.
