Week 1 Teaching: The Honest Walk-Through
- Why God searches us in love, not in judgment
- The difference between conviction and condemnation
- Clutter is accumulated, not chosen all at once
- How avoidance keeps us stuck in familiar pain
Student Workbook
Bible study
- Read Psalm 139 in full and mark every phrase describing God's knowledge of you.
- Compare Hebrews 12:1 with 1 John 1:9 — one names the weight, the other names the remedy.
- Study Romans 8:1 and write what 'no condemnation' means for you personally.
Reflection questions
- Which room of my life would I least want inspected?
- When I sense God's conviction, what do I usually do first?
- What have I normalized that God may be calling clutter?
Action steps
- Complete the room-by-room inventory worksheet.
- Name one weight and say it out loud in prayer.
- Tell one safe person you are doing this work.
Closing prayer: Lord, thank You for searching me. Give me the honesty to see clearly and the courage to stay in the room.
